Dame Mary Marsh Non-executive Director, HSBC Bank
Dame Mary Marsh is a cross-sector leader whose varied experience includes executive and governance roles in the social/non-profit sector. In 2008 she set up the Clore Social Leadership Programme in the UK, developing leaders for charities and social enterprises, for the Clore Duffield Foundation and continued as Founding Director until 2015. She was appointed recently as the first lay Chair of Trustees at RCPCH (Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health) which, like other medical Royal Colleges in the UK, is a registered charity. She was chief executive of the charity NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) from 2000-2008. Before this she was headteacher of two large secondary schools. She continues to have a range of other cross-sector non-executive roles. She has been a non-executive director of HSBC Bank plc since 2009 and in 2015 joined the Operations and Technology committee of the Board. She is a Governor and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at London Business School, a director on the board of the LSO (London Symphony Orchestra), a Commissioner of the Financial Inclusion Commission and a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
