The beginning of every New Year ushers in the possibility of reinvention and transformation thanks to resolutions and being accountable for a certain set of promises that we make to ourselves. Omnipreneurship and all its various tools, are particularly helpful when mapping out goals and supporting a framework of intentional living. But instead of looking simply at an annual list of goals, Omnipreneurship is an approach that encourages individuals and organisations alike to consider the future in a more comprehensive way. Why plan for one year only when you can look at your whole lifespan in a holistic and measured way and aim for lifelong meaning and impact?
Along with the Three Principles of Giving, Earning and Sustaining and the Ten Golden Rules, the third core ingredient of the Omnipreneurship approach, is the Five Values, which include Integrity, Passion, Respect, Forward Thinking and Teamwork. These values underpin everything we do and straying away from them weakens the strength of the approach.
As I wrote in my book “Omnipreneurship”, “In addition, you need a set of core values—ideas that you hold true, that help define who you are, who you want to be, and how you conduct yourself in your daily life. Values are a crucial moral rudder, important for making ethical decisions in life and at work; when you adhere to them, you feel happier, more satisfied, and truer to yourself.”
